Angela Mazzanti Tattoos: Wolf, Cobra, Script and Sleeves

Angela Mazzanti’s tattoos range from a wolf surrounded by arrows and roses on her stomach to colorful hand and arm work and several distinct thigh designs. In an interview with Hobo Jack, the California tattoo model described her style as mostly traditional, with some neo-traditional pieces.

The photos show a mix of strong outlines, bright color and open skin. Here are five areas of her collection, including the wolf tattoo she has described as her signature piece.

Wolf head, arrows and roses on her stomach

Angela Mazzanti tattoos: Wolf face and surrounding roses clear with distinct outlines, arrows and red eyes. No annotation or watermark. Navel jewelry is separate from tattoo.

A front-facing wolf head fills the center of Mazzanti’s stomach, with pointed ears, red eyes, a dark nose and broad muzzle. Arrows sit above and beside it, while red roses and green leaves spread along the lower edges. The red jewel hanging over the wolf’s forehead is navel jewelry, not part of the tattoo.

Mazzanti described the wolf as her signature tattoo and connected it to feeling comfortable on her own as well as leading a group. She used the phrase lone wolf to explain the image. The eyes, arrows and surrounding flowers make the design easy to recognize in the photos.

Ornate script across her upper stomach

Angela Mazzanti tattoos: Large black upper-stomach script and flourishes visible; clothing does not cover target. No annotation or watermark. Exact text is not transcribed.

A separate band of black script sits above the wolf, just below Mazzanti’s bra line. Tall strokes rise at either end, with curls running beneath and between the words. The lettering’s exact wording isn’t clear in the photo, so the shape is what can be described reliably.

The script stretches across her torso, while the wolf sits below it as a compact image. Clothing can cover part of the lettering, but the curls and wolf remain visible in some outfits.

Cobra and lettering on her hands

Angela Mazzanti tattoos: Cobra mouth, teeth, eye and wrist continuation sharp; opposite-hand lettering visible. No overlay or watermark. Photo texture does not obscure target.

A cobra with an open mouth covers much of the back of one hand. Red inside the mouth, pale teeth, dark outlines and yellow accents keep the head distinct; the snake continues toward her wrist. Her other hand has large outlined letters across the back, with smaller marks on the fingers.

Mazzanti named her palms as a favorite placement in the Hobo Jack interview, but these photographs show the backs of her hands. The cobra isn’t a palm tattoo. The lettering and finger marks also leave open skin between designs.

Woman’s portrait and eye on her forearm

Angela Mazzanti tattoos: Raised forearm portrait, eye and green curves distinct and clearly visible. No overlay or watermark. Warm photographic grain does not obscure outlines.

A colorful woman’s face sits inside a curved green shape on one forearm. It appears upside down to the viewer in the raised-arm pose. Red around the eyes and cheeks contrasts with the pale face; an eye motif with a yellow center and dark pupil sits farther along the arm.

Green curves lead into warm orange and red sections near the elbow. More traditional-looking work, including a large red rose and a small banner-like shape, appears on the upper arm. The photo doesn’t identify who the portrait represents.

Colored and outlined tattoos on her thighs

Angela Mazzanti tattoos: Upper-thigh colored elements and black circular outline work distinguishable. Lower legs are outside frame and not claimed as shown. No annotation or watermark.

The upper-thigh photo contrasts dense colored pieces on one side with black outlines and open skin on the other. Pink and green details sit among smaller marks and lettering; larger designs continue beyond the bottom of the frame. The lower legs aren’t shown.

Mazzanti told Hobo Jack she had outlined pieces she wanted to finish and small gaps on her legs she wanted to fill, so these older photos don’t establish how the tattoos look today. In the SullenTV interview, she also discussed a flying-pig tattoo with a message about continuing to dream. The clip below includes her thoughts on collecting tattoos, choosing artists and adding work when little empty skin remains.
