Philippe Coutinho’s tattoos span his arms, hands, neck and torso. FIFA’s 2018 profile records the meaning he gave “Never stop dreaming” on his left arm; other photographs show Mickey Mouse, Portuguese neck lettering, hand symbols and shaded arm work.
The “Never stop dreaming” tattoo is the clearest documented statement
FIFA’s 2018 profile says the phrase runs along Coutinho’s left arm. After Brazil beat Costa Rica at the World Cup, he described it as an attitude already inside him and linked it to persisting through difficult circumstances.

The Mickey Mouse tattoo brings a playful image to the torso

A Globo training photo from Liverpool shows a Mickey Mouse outline on Coutinho’s lower torso, below his chest and above the waistband. The simple cartoon shape stands apart from the lettering and shaded arm work.
Fox Sports shows the figure on the right side of his torso from the viewer’s perspective. The coverage describes its appearance but gives no personal explanation for choosing Mickey Mouse.
Neck lettering and the word “familia” extend the collection upward
Barcelona photographs show “coragem” running along the side and back of Coutinho’s neck. The Portuguese word means “courage”; the reports don’t say it was planned as a set with the arm phrase.
A separate portrait shows “familia” in script across the upper back of his neck. The word follows the width of his nape and sits above the collar line.

His hands and fingers carry small symbols rather than one large motif
Photos from Coutinho’s Barcelona presentation and later portraits show a diamond, musical note, cross and card-suit symbols across his hands and fingers.
The marks are small and can be read separately. Published reports identify what is visible, but don’t give Coutinho’s explanation for each symbol.
Unlike much of the arm ink, the hand designs remain visible when he gestures, holds a ball or celebrates in match and presentation photos.

The arms combine script, shading and football-era photographs
The arms have the most continuous coverage. FIFA’s Brazil match image shows ink on the left arm; club and training portraits add layered black-and-grey shading, script, religious imagery and smaller marks on the forearms. Different line weights and lettering styles remain visible, rather than forming one uniform sleeve.
The photos document the tattoos in match action, at a club presentation and in training. They show the ink as it appears in each setting, not only in close-up tattoo portraits.

What Coutinho’s public style reveals
Coutinho’s collection mixes words, small symbols and images. FIFA gives a direct explanation for “Never stop dreaming”; the other photographs mainly establish what the designs look like and where they sit.
The words “coragem” and “familia” are readable in the neck photos. The cited sources do not assign a meaning to the Mickey Mouse tattoo, the hand symbols or every mark on the arms.
The football context keeps the collection in view
Published photos show Coutinho’s tattoos at Brazil’s 2018 World Cup, Liverpool training and Barcelona presentations. FIFA’s post-Costa Rica interview remains the source for the meaning he gave the phrase on his left arm.
