In 2025, El Observador reported that Federico Valverde showed new tattoos on his right arm. The images below mix a close-up of the design with wider football and portrait photos.
A documented family tattoo
The tattoo sits on Valverde’s right upper arm. El Observador reported lions and cubs and credited tattoo artist Alejandro Del Mazo. The grouping reads as a family design, although the report doesn’t include a personal explanation from Valverde.
The close-up makes the realistic shading and overlap between figures easier to see.

Angles, clothing and light can change how much ink a photo shows. The close-up is the clearest view of the lion design; the other shots don’t support claims about additional tattoos or their meaning.
