Valerie Cossette Tattoos: Wild Child, Chest Birds, Roses and Thigh Ink

Valerie Cossette’s tattoos range from Wild Child lettering across her stomach to paired birds below her collarbones, a floral arm sleeve and two very different thigh designs. The pieces use both open lettering and dense illustration.

Here are five parts of her collection, as they appear in the photographs. They show the designs and their placement; they don’t establish a private meaning or a specific artist where Cossette hasn’t provided one.

Wild Child lettering across her stomach

The words Wild Child stretch across Cossette’s upper stomach in tall, flowing black script. The strokes vary from heavy lines to thin curls, and the phrase follows the curve of her torso. Her navel jewelry sits below it and is separate from the tattoo.

A waistband can cover the lower tips, while a crop top reveals most of the phrase. The words may sound playful, but the lettering alone doesn’t tell us what they mean to Cossette.

Two bird tattoos below her collarbones

One flying bird sits beneath each collarbone, with the center of Cossette’s chest left open. Their pointed wings, compact bodies and forked tails give them a swallow-like shape. Both have dark outlines and shaded feathers.

The pair frame the upper chest, above the long stomach lettering. A small gold cross visible between them in some photos hangs from a necklace; it isn’t another tattoo. Cossette hasn’t shared a specific meaning for the birds.

Roses, a woman’s face and a skull on her arm

Cossette’s arm is more densely covered. A woman’s profile sits near the shoulder among roses and dark curves, with more flowers and a skull lower down. The face is illustrated rather than photorealistic, and the photos don’t identify it as a particular person.

Muted pink and red petals add color to the black-and-gray work. The skull’s darker sockets contrast with the rounded flowers. In side views, the portrait, roses and skull are easier to distinguish; the forearm adds more shading farther down.

Wolf, roses and hanging beads on her thigh

A wolf-like head with pointed ears and a long muzzle fills much of one thigh. Roses surround it, and a strand of round beads curves alongside the flowers. The photo doesn’t show enough to call the beads a rosary.

Short strokes mark the fur around the cheek, while darker shading defines the eye and muzzle. A seated pose reveals more of the composition than a straight-on view; shorts can cover the top while leaving the lower flower and beads visible.

Faith lettering on the opposite thigh

On the other thigh, the word Faith appears in compact script. Its capital rises above the other letters, with curled strokes wrapping around their lower edges. A separate line of smaller script sits higher, near her hip, and isn’t part of this tattoo.

The word’s meaning belongs to Cossette. The photos show a small, decorated design with open skin around it, set opposite the larger wolf-and-rose piece. The La Tranchée clip below discusses her Instagram profile and its growth.
